April 25, 1943 – May 23, 2016
Thank you, Tita Cora – for everything…
HAMPTON – Corazon would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call on May 23, 2016, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be listening to and watching Joyce Meyer, liking and commenting on posts on Facebook, all other types of socializing, cooking, listening to music, dancing, gardening and reading to her heart’s content. Laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. She leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that she says she was very proud of. Corazon was world-renowned for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. She left detailed instructions for her husband: Shah, her two children: Shean and Shira, her two grandchildren: Semeicha and Sapphira, her six surviving siblings in New York and the Philippines: Angelita, Felino Jr., Florentina, Milagros, Marissa and Carmencita, their spouses, their children and grandchildren, and her extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Corazon’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 27, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2150 Cunningham Drive, in Hampton. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family. Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666.
